market, festas, feiras and romarias
Almost everything ist a reason for portugies peoble to celebrate:
the almond blossom, springbeginning, end of harvest the endless village and protection saints an dor course, the carnival.
In little villages its an event, where everybody takes place. JA's normaly startet with a procession and with the approaching of noon, it becomes an eating and drinking party:
At the roads you can find loads of grilled sardines, cuttlefish, grilled chicken, sweet snackes and the usual red wine.
At night usually you can see a firework and mostly there is a related market, a feira, where you can find anything, from plastic pots to horse equipment, traditional handmades.
The dates of the events are yearly changed.
